Taiwan trip DAY 1

 BACK FROM TAIWAN, TIME TO BLOG.

headed to changi airport as early as 4.30am.

woke up at 3+am, where i sleep at 1+am which means 2hrs of sleep.

had to reach airport 2 hours before flight time thus, needed to head off early. tired max.

but an exciting trip is embarking it's way!!!!

proud of being a singaporean!! singapore is a beautiful city, the airport is a beautiful place!

so board the plane at around 7 and it took off at 7.10 am.

saw this huge patch of land. suspected is china since is the biggest country nearest to taiwan.

AND look! about to land.

and well, this looks exactly like google map!! 

this are all the 乡下 area, the rural areas in taiwan! (if im not wrong!)

landed around 12+pm

was super thirsty as didnt bring any water up the plane.

reach at taiwan taoyuan international airport.

before going thru the custom all this at the airport, spotted a water cooler while we are writing our "white card"

the cup is super cute!!! 

and after checking out, needed transportation to fetch us to airport.

at first intended taking cab.....

asked about the fare and stuffs.

and btw, this is how a taiwan taxi looks like! 

all is yellow, not like singapore, with all sorts of colour!

well taxi cant accommodate my family, there's 8 of us. so we went to rent car.

like with a driver ofcourse.

the driver seat for taiwan is at the left hand side! 

which is different from singapore, which is at the right hand side.

so weird to see the driver at the left hand side. 

on the way to hotel

after settling down, took bus from hotel to xi men ding (西門町)

this is how a busstop at taiwan looks like. 

this the one with proper shelter and seats.

while this is another type of busstop you could see in taiwan too. 

with no shelter and seats, but just the board telling you is a busstop. 

was super hungry as the last meal we had was at changi airport, before we fly.

so upon arrival at 西門町, we headed to have lunch first!!!

BUT it looks and the feeling when you eat it feels like the thick beehoon!!

and this........ is their fishball!

super funny and is rectangle!

the place where we ate at:

overall the food was so so, not really that nice......

after eating went to walk around!

saw this seller that sells the ice cream.

that huge block over there are peanuts!

and this is nice!!

they uses the thing at the top of the block to shave out small flakes of the peanuts.

and afterwards, wrap it using the popiah skin with the ice cream together.

when you walk right in 西門町 , you will see this!

ADIDAS ORIGNAL!!!

a huge starbucks you can notice if you walk further in.

first bubble tea we had.

not bad, and is so much cheaper compared to singapore.

the small pearls are annoying and there's alot of them. 

hate chewing on pearls as my mouth is very tiring after chewing them!!

walk around and was really tired as the place is really big.

settled down at this cute place loacted opp uniqlo.

(their uniqlo there has 4/5 stories!!)

the seats are swings instead of all the normal chair!!

so funny the name! but the drink is not bad!

sour plum! 

ice cream waffle. 

so cute, their ice cream are seperated from the waffles, like is not on top of the waffles.

is in a seperated cup!

and here, is the 西门红楼.

located opposite of the shopping area!

went there to have a look and afterwards, went to take their MRT.

their outside of MRT station.

and btw, the sky below you see, is taken at 6.20???

so black already when is still so bright in singapore!

inside the mrt station. 

as we are only taking the transport once, so we bought the one trip ticket. 

so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!

their priority seats.

and i have to say, taiwan people are all v well mannered.

nobody seats at the priority seats!!

unless you are the one inside the picture, or else, you dont seat down.

people there are also v friendly.

we were discussing which station to alight as we are heading to shilin night market.

and then alot of them actually heard us, and taught us where to alight, which is nearer and stuffs! 

there is like................. nothing.

shilin is so disappointing!!!!!!

should not go there the next time, if you want, pls go to raohe and shida cuz is so much better.

the food are nicer too.

had dinner at a random place which the food is like so so.

all fat and oily. sighhhhhhh weight gained.

headed home after finish eating as we are all really tired since most of us actually only have 2 hours of sleep.

that marks our day 1 there!!!!!!
